A while back in my post about backyard camping I mentioned that I peaced out from the shin dig to head to a photo shoot, well this was it.
Back in July I headed downtown Vancouver for a photo shoot with DISTRICT’ in partnership with Drammatico Chihandbags. I was approached by one of the photographers who said they were taking picture’s of local bloggers, and the style of the shoot was “your interpretation of classy and timeless”. I of course was honoured to be asked and jumped at the opportunity, being an actor, I do love the camera. I however don’t exactly consider myself super stylish. The way I dress is either super casual or super dressy (depending on the occasion) and I don’t really have a “style” other than minimal. I am not going to lie I fretted about this like no body’s business. But then I decided to embrace ME and this was the result.
How many of you search on pinterest looking and dreaming of having beautiful nails? I know I do. I spend way too long on there and then when I go to attempt it, I never have the patience to let it dry. Intricate designs are beautiful and good in theory, but just that, in theory. Unless you’re luckily talented in that beauty department, a simple nail is usually the safest way to go.
I love the natural look, and it’s easy to attain. That’s why I wanted to share with you how I get my natural French tip look and I don’t have to wait a million years for it to dry. First of all you’re going to need to pick your weapon…I mean polish.
Today I thought I’d give you an insight into one of my favourite places ever, Fort Langley. The Hudson’s Bay company originally built Fort Langley in 1827. So as you can imagine this town has seen lots of history, and it’s still going strong. Most of the buildings have been restored and it’s quaintness can be found on your TV screens most commonly in Once Upon A Time or most Hallmark movies.
The biggest draw for me to this town is the cute cafe Wendel’s, it’s on a corner across from the train tracks. It has an exquisite menu for both food and drinks. My drink is a Chai tea latte with almond milk. Wendel’s is super friendly to those with allergies, all you gluten-free people rejoice. The best part is there is a book store to browse before or after your meal, or while you’re waiting for your drink. Check out my recent visit below!
Can you believe its freaking July?! I’m sorry, am I the only one freaking out? Seriously where has the time gone! I’m going to blink and it will be Christmas, though that wouldn’t really be an issue considering I love Christmas.
If you don’t know me my name is Natalie Farrow and I am an actor, producer, writer, event planner, amateur photographer, social media/branding marketer. Let’s just say I’m a woman of many hats and my day planner is colour coded down to priority A, B, and C. I started blogging off my acting website to get a feel for it, but what I was blogging about wasn’t exactly acting related. So I thought I would start a blog that is about everything else in my life, with just a hint of acting, because let’s be real I can’t not talk about it.
The first post on my blog is a monthly favourites, lot’s of YouTubers do this, so I thought I’d snag that idea and use it here. I think it’s a great way to introduce myself so we can get to know each other a little more. The list is long so I’m just going to jump right into it. Continue reading →
