August Favourites

I swear each year seems to fly by faster and faster. It’s already September and pumpkin is everywhere. I’m not ready to say good-bye to this summer, after all I actually enjoyed it much more than I did my last. So here’s my favourites for the month of August. It’s a shorter list mostly because I was so busy and can’t remember the things I was obsessed with this month. With out further a due, here we go.

This is practically my second skin. This Nike swim suit will be my companion as I train to be the very best candidate for the live action Little Mermaid film. Which by the way was announced on August 18th. I really can’t explain in words how much I love this suit. It fits me like a glove and I feel like a real mermaid. It’s modest and as I love to say modest is hottest.

I bought this nail colour by mistake thinking it was another colour, but turns out I loved it anyways. This is Java Mauve-A by OPI it is a perfect colour to transition into fall with, it’s warm yet has that hint of brown. You can ware it to an end of summer party or on a walk through a pile of leaves with your PSL.

Essential oils have been in my life for quite some time. They helped get me through one of the toughest times in my life and these little babies aren’t even the high-end quality kind. Not to say this brand is bad, it’s just not young living. I struggles with depression and anxiety, I still on occasion struggle with anxiety, mostly when driving. When I find my anxiety flares up I’ll rub either one of these on my temples and just under my nose depending on what I’m needing and trust in the Lord, cause ultimately He is my peace and my rescue. But good essential oils help too. The ones pictured above are “Head Aid” and “Stress Relief”.

I don’t know why but I’ve had a growing love/fascination with the moon. When ever I look up at it, it reminds me how small I am and how big God is. It overwhelms me and excites me all the same. So When I saw this little gold necklace I knew I needed to grab it, plus it was $3 at Claire’s so yeah I bought it and if you love moons, dainty jewelry and gold, then you should too.

I had no idea there was a growing trend on patches, I thought I was ahead of the game but, turns out patches have been in way longer than I thought. I desperately scavenged trying to find the perfect patch to cover a hole I attained in my $125 Aritzia trench jacket. After searching and much debate I decided to go with this beauty from the Stay Home Club. It will match my jacket perfectly and add a little bit of flair, I think I may just turn the jacket into my patch jacket and have it collect as many as I can. Patches are in and I’m very okay with that.

Yogurt breakfast bowls are my new fave thing to eat in the morning, especially before I head to the pool because they aren’t too heavy. Since I’m dairy free I like to mix two parts coconut yogurt and two parts goat yogurt, that way I get the protein and probiotics from the goat yogurt but it’s not nearly as tart because of the coconut yogurt. I then add in frozen raspberries sometimes a banana, then some chia seeds and hemp hearts. If you haven’t tried this yet, what are you waiting for? It’s the bomb dot com. It also makes pretty Instagram pictures.

Well that’s it. I know this list is much shorter than the last couple but that’s mostly because I’ve been so busy I can’t keep track of what I’ve been “favouriting”. Do you have any monthly favourites? What was your favourite item on the list? Leave a comment down below!

As always be blessed and Happy September.
